artist statement I n 1994 I gained a BA(HONS) degree in scientific illustration from Middlesex University . From this time until the present day I have worked as an illustrator, run creative workshops and been busy creating my own artwork. My work tends to be inspired by the natural world. I love texture and pattern and choose subjects which reflect this, for example, the wrinkles on an elephant or pattern of shapes in a landscape! I use a whole range of techniques and media as I have always believed that they are simply a tool and I use whatever suits my intended outcome, whatever that might be. I am currently a fellow of Digswell Arts Trust a charity which supports artists by providing low cost studio facilities and gives them the opportunity for exhibitions and training. education Postgraduate Certificate in Business and Digital Skills for Artists and Designers NVQ level 3 Arts Development and Teaching City and guilds Certificate in Delivering Learning (7302) BA (Hons) degree Graphic Design (Scientific Illustration) |
